Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory and autoimmune disorder. joint destruction which occurs due to increased expression of cytokines transcription factors. Cissus quadrangularis belongs the Vitaceae family. The plant shows anti-osteoporotic, anti-inflammatory anti-microbial properties. Soxhlet method was used for extraction using methanol as solvent. anti-arthritic activity methanolic extract evaluated by in vivo study. present study assess haematological parameters female albino rats after induction Freund's Complete Adjuvant. Dexamethasone standard reference drug. showed varied changes haematology arthritic 0.1 ml FCA were analyzed before afterthe treatment period. inhibition secondary inflammation adjuvant studied parameters. total haemoglobin, RBC, WBC, ESR RF values assessed initiation 28 days treatment. results significant incline or decline each parameter period days. While their rectified with oral administration at dose 250mg/kg. boosted levels Hb, RBC simultaneously reduced along serological factor RF. effective parameters, when compared drug Dexamethasone. from suggest that has potential effect curing arthritis.
